Getting Started

Introduction to Kensaworks

Kensaworks is an automated report generation tool that turns raw advertising data into professional PDF reports in seconds. Upload a CSV export from your ad platform, choose your settings, and download a client-ready PDF — no spreadsheet editing, no manual formatting.

Currently supported data source: Meta Ads (Facebook & Instagram).

Uploading Data

Supported File Formats

Kensaworks accepts .csv and .xlsx (Excel) files. The file must contain one row per campaign, ad or ad set, with the required columns present.

  • Maximum file size: 32 MB
  • Encoding: UTF-8 (standard for all Meta Ads exports)
  • Column names are detected automatically — minor variations in naming are handled

Exporting from Meta Ads Manager

The easiest way is to use the default export with no column changes. The default "Performance and clicks" column preset already includes all the columns Kensaworks needs.

  1. Go to Meta Ads Manager.
  2. Click the Campaigns (or Ad Sets / Ads) tab at the top.
  3. Set your date range using the date picker in the top right (e.g. last 30 days, or a custom range for a client report period).
  4. Make sure the column preset reads Performance and clicks — this is the default and no changes are needed.
  5. Click the Export button (download icon, top right of the table).
  6. Select Export Table Data (CSV).
  7. The file downloads to your computer. Upload it directly to Kensaworks.
Important: Do not add, remove, or reorder columns before exporting. Kensaworks uses smart features to detect columns — the default export is already in the correct format.
Campaigns vs Ad Sets vs Ads: You can export at any level — campaigns, ad sets, or individual ads. Kensaworks will detect which level you exported and label the report accordingly.

Here's where to find these controls in Meta Ads Manager:

Required Columns

The following columns must be present in your CSV. All of these are included in the default Meta Ads export — no manual changes required.

Reporting startsStart date of the reporting period
Reporting endsEnd date of the reporting period
ImpressionsTotal number of times your ads were shown
ReachUnique people who saw your ads
Clicks (all)All clicks on your ads
ResultsNumber of times your ads achieved the campaign objective

Missing columns? If any required column is absent, Kensaworks will show an error message listing exactly which columns could not be detected. Check that you are exporting from the Campaigns tab with the default column preset.

Optional Columns

If these columns are present in your export they will be used to enrich the report with additional metrics. They are all included in the default Meta Ads export.
